The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 244 was selected as recipient of Perth’s Foodsmiths , “Bring Your Own Bag” charity donation program.

Foodsmiths' volunteers also knit poppy’s which they in turn sell at the Perth store and donate all monies made from this initiative.

On Wednesday 28th November 2018 , Foodsmiths owner Bill Watts presented Branch 244 President Barry Boyce and Sgt-At-Arms Stacey Niceliu with a $2,125.05 cheque to Branch 244.

In its 5th year, the Foodsmiths knitted poppy initiative has donated over $11,000.00 To Branch 244.
